Where does Kalko get data about researched people?

Public sources: job posts, filings, news, forums and company websites.
The systems a customer connects, such as Attio, Leadfeeder or Reply.io.
Contact data providers, when a customer asks Kalko to find a work email.

Who receives the data?

The customer workspace the research was done for. Each workspace's data is kept apart from every other.
Providers that host the app and database, handle sign-in and take payments.
Contact data providers and AI model providers that find emails and draft and check text.
The tools a customer connects, such as Slack, Reply.io, Instantly, Attio and Leadfeeder.
Analytics and visitor-identification providers, only after a visitor accepts cookies.
Sentry, our error monitoring service, which receives error reports from the app.
LangSmith, our AI tracing service, which receives a sample of AI prompts and answers, including text about researched people.
Inngest, our job runner, which receives the inputs and results of background jobs.

Is data transferred outside the EU?

Yes. Kalko's app and database are hosted in the United States. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on safeguards the GDPR allows, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long is data kept?

Account and workspace data: while the workspace exists. Deleting the organization deletes the workspace and everything in it.
Usage records: 90 days.
Signals: deleted once they are twice as old as the point where they count as stale.
The credit ledger: kept as the record of what was paid for.
Analytics data: kept by the analytics providers under their own retention settings.

What are your rights?

Access the data we hold about you, and get a copy.
Correct data that is wrong.
Erase your data, or restrict how we use it.
Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including research for sales outreach.
Take your data to another service, where the GDPR gives that right.
Withdraw consent for cookies at any time, with the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Does Kalko make automated decisions about people?

Kalko ranks companies by need. It makes no decisions about people that have legal or similarly significant effects on them.
