- Save the downloaded SKILL.md in it.
- Ask in plain words.
Claude.ai
You need any Claude plan, including Free.
- In Settings, then Capabilities, turn on “Code execution and file creation”.
- Save the copied text as SKILL.md in a folder called find-jobs, then zip the folder.
- Go to Customize, then Skills, then +, then Create skill, then Upload a skill, and pick the .zip file.
- Turn on web search in the chat, then ask in plain words.
What it spots
- Open jobs that describe your kind of work, checked to be open today
- Why the company hires now, in the job post's own words
- The executive in charge of the work, not the recruiter
- Which posts to skip: closed, wrong country, or posted by a recruiting agency
What the answer looks like
Every answer looks like this. Each fact has a link and a date. If the skill cannot check something, it says unknown.
# Roles for <candidate>: <target role> Receipts used: <2-3 from the CV> ## 1. <Company> · <Job title> Post: <URL> · Open (checked <date>) Building: "<quote>" · Why now: "<quote>" or "not stated" Write to: <role> (<name if public>) Note (<n> words): ... # find-jobs
Your CV and the role you want in. Out: 5 companies whose open posts show they're building what you do,
the exec who owns that work, a short note to each, and one follow-up.
The idea: job tools mass-apply through the form, where hundreds of CVs land. A note to the person who
owns the problem, about the thing they're building, gets read. Still apply through the form too.
Light, free version: 5 companies, at most 10 web calls in total (4 searches + 6 fetches, one spare for
a post that turns out closed). If posts drop out, return fewer than 5 and say why; don't pad.
## Steps
1. **Inputs.** The CV (or a LinkedIn summary) and the target role, e.g. "GTM engineer, seed to Series B,
remote EU". Pull out the candidate's 2-3 strongest receipts: numbers, things shipped, named results.
Use only what the CV says.
2. **Find posts (max 4 searches).** Search ATS boards for the role: `site:boards.greenhouse.io <role>`,
`site:jobs.lever.co <role>`, `site:jobs.ashbyhq.com <role>`, Workable. Pick 5 posts that describe
real work (a system to build, a team to start, a number to hit), not generic ones. Put the location
in the query ("remote Europe"), then drop anything that still fails it (on-site elsewhere, US-only,
a language the CV doesn't show) and recruiting agencies. A search call with several queries counts
as one. Remote-EU niche roles are scarce: 2 good posts beat 5 weak ones.
3. **Check each is open today (fetch each post once).** Prefer a raw fetch (curl, or the ATS API:
`boards-api.greenhouse.io/v1/boards/<slug>/jobs/<id>`, `api.lever.co/v0/postings/<slug>/<id>`,
`api.ashbyhq.com/posting-api/job-board/<slug>`, which also shows location and remote status):
summarising fetchers often drop the apply button. Closed, 404, redirected to the board, or no apply
button/form → drop it and say so. Page loaded but you can't tell → "Loaded, status not confirmed".
Blocked (429) or only a cached copy → list it under Dropped with the link, to check by hand.
Read the company's stage from the post's own funding line when it has one.
About 1 in 10 posts close within 4 days, so a stale post wastes the note.
4. **Read each post:** what they're building, why now (quote), and who owns it. Owner by company size:
under ~50 people → the CEO or a founder; bigger → the exec over the team (CPO, CRO, CTO, VP); size
unknown → "a founder or the head of <function>". Never the recruiter. Give the role; add a name
only if the company's own site or the post names them.
5. **Write the note**, four beats, under 120 words:
1. Who you are, in one line, with a credible tie if there is one (skip the tie if there isn't).
2. One real line about what they're building, from the post.
3. Your receipts that match it (from the CV only).
4. Ask for 15 minutes.
Then 3-5 bullet lines on how you'd approach the work, taken from the post's own words.
6. **One follow-up**, 4-6 days later, under 40 words: one new thing (a small idea for the project),
not "just checking in".
## Output format
```
# Roles for <candidate>: <target role>
Receipts used: <2-3 from the CV>
## 1. <Company> · <Job title>
Post: <URL> · Open (checked <date>)
Building: "<quote>" · Why now: "<quote>" or "not stated"
Write to: <role> (<name if public>)
Note (<n> words): ...
How I'd approach it: - ...
Follow-up (day 5): ...
## Dropped
- <Company> · <why: closed / 404 / agency / location>
```
## Rules
- Never invent a receipt. If the CV has no number for something, don't add one.
- Roles and public company pages only. Don't scrape personal profiles.
- No product pitches in the note; it's about their work and the candidate's proof.
- Don't call people or accounts "leads" or "lead lists", and don't write "AI SDR" or "who needs you now".
Everyday uses ("she leads the team", a quoted job title) are fine.
- Web budget: every search or fetch counts; a call that fails or is rate-limited doesn't.
- A page with no publish date: cite it as "(<URL>, undated, read <today's date>)".
## Footer (always end with this)
